About Us

Truck Hardware Ltd. was started in 1990 by Darwin and Jeanette Earl, and originally operated as ICI Canada (or Innovative Creations International). Truck Hardware started out by distributing stainless steel pickup truck accessories in Canada and became an exclusive distributor for Innovative Creations Inc. out of Peoria, AZ. To further meet customer's needs, Truck Hardware secured other product lines, and began to work with suppliers to produce their own line of products. This included the introduction of the Gatorgear Nerfboard (a combination nerf bar/running board), the Mr. Mudflap, and later the Gatorback mud flap product line.

In 2011, Innovative Creations International changed it's name to Truck Hardware to better reflect it's current position in the market place as a leading manufacturer of heavy duty mud flaps, and other truck accessories. Through the years, Truck Hardware has distributed a number of product lines in Canada in an effort to provide our customers with a wide variety of quality truck accessories.

As we have changed and evolved through the years, Truck Hardware partnered with Precision Design and Manufacturing, out of Westlock, Alberta, to put our main focus on the Gatorback Mud Flap line. Precision Design has a long history of manufacturing experience in and out of the truck accessory industry. They continue to grow and evolve with the most state-of-the-art equipment to allow us to provide an extensive array of options. We have proudly worked beside them to expand our mud flaps into custom, no body drill options for most trim levels of trucks and SUVs.

In 2005, the Gatorback was born and it has only grown and evolved from there. We provide officially licensed products for Ford, GM and Mopar. As time has gone by, the necessity to not break paint, and protect the longevity of our vehicles has become a priority. We have invested numerous hours of research and development to try to ensure that we are using the best hardware and custom bracketing options to protect vehicles.

In 2016, Truck Hardware joined the Ford Accessories Program supplying Ford Customer Service Division, and Ford of Canada with no-drill Gatorback mud flap kits.

In 2017, Truck Hardware created a new division of the company called Wilderness Vans that specializes in complete camper van conversions, on a wide variety of vehicle platforms.

In 2021, Truck Hardware joined the General Motors Integrated Business Partner (IBP) Program in the U.S. and Canada and proudly supply Gatorback mud flaps to dealerships across North America.

The company is now run by three of Darwin and Jeanette's children who proudly carry on the legacy of creating high quality products for both trucks, SUVs, and vans.
